Where are you from originally? (hometown)

Snohomish, Washington

I love the natural beauty and all that western Washington has to offer, especially, the great outdoors. Not many places have mountains, lakes, rivers and the ocean within an hour drive!

I decided to become a dentist in high school! I’ve always been drawn to health care and the chance to work with my hands, build long term relationships with the community, and help improve people’s health, function, and self-esteem really drew me to the profession. I specifically chose orthodontics after seeing what a positive impact it can have in a person’s life. People don’t usually get excited to go to the dentist, but it’s a different story for orthodontics. I’ve found that most can’t wait and seeing patients glow and their confidence grow after having a beautiful new smile is unbeatable!

I attended Brigham Young University for undergraduate, the University of Washington School of Dentistry, and completed my orthodontic residency training at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Certificate in the specialty of orthodontics, as well as a Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees.

America Dental Association, American Associate of Orthodontics, American Board of Orthodontics, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics, Washington State Society of Orthodontics

Building trust! When a patient trusts the doctor and the doctor trusts the patient, our teamwork can create the best outcomes for the health, beauty, and function of one’s smile. It takes two to be a team and it all starts with trust!

I think one of the most interesting things about orthodontics is that it is a rapidly evolving profession. There are constantly new advancements in technology and systems that can be utilized to benefit orthodontics. It’s my job to stay on top of what all is out there to be able to provide the best experience for my patients and top-notch care.

I have previously volunteered with the Seattle Union Gospel Mission to provide free dental work to underserved communities in the Seattle area.

My family includes my lovely wife Jaylee and spunky, full of life, two-and-a-half-year-old daughter Ellie. When not straightening peoples’ teeth, I love to spend time with my family. We enjoy anything outdoors including hiking, skiing, camping, and kayaking. I personally enjoy all types of fishing, especially fly fishing! While in college, I competed for a top Division I track and field team where I specialized in long distance running. Fun fact, several of my former teammates and friends have gone on to become Olympians for Team USA in the marathon and track and field! Sports have always been a big part of my life and as such, I am an avid Seattle Seahawks and Mariners fan. I love the PNW and am grateful to be a part of the community in Maple Valley, Enumclaw and the surrounding areas!
